Yair Emanuel’s challah covers are designed by means of raw silk appliqués, joined to the cover’s fabric with embroidery. The challah covers are decorated very colorfully, using the raw silk and multicolored, silver and golden silk embroidery threads. The patterns on the covers depict the city of Jerusalem, the Seven Species, flowers and pomegranates. The words “Shabbat VeYom Tov” (Shabbat and Holidays) are embroidered in the center of the challah cover.
